Signing Time!

Kenzie LOVES Signing Time!

We have through volume 4 of Dvd's and she watches them non-stop. It's like she's in another world when they're on. She's picked up quite a few signs, I'm impressed.

Playing "dress up like a granny" ;)

She still isn't saying as many words as I'd like her to. My mom and I have come to the conclusion that she knows lots of words, she's just stubborn! I know that sounds totally naive, but really. She is so smart. It's hard to explain, but I know my child, and she's the spitting image of me, attitude and all :)

So, has anyone ever shave off their finger nail with a razor?

Well, I have:
You can't really tell cuz it wouldn't stop bleeding, but that is from shaving off my finger nail. I didn't even know that was possible to do while shaving your legs. Hmm. I learn something new every day!

Well, I don't have much to talk about. I just watched Signing Time and did laundry today. Whoopie!

Here's to my last 3 days of being on the pill! :D

Not quite ready yet....

Potty training is officially on hiatus. Kenzie is SOOOO not ready to be a big girl. We played with the idea for a while and she just isn't interested. I've done my fair share of reading about potty training and rule #1 is to NOT FORCE your child into it. "They will let you know when they are ready."

BUT I'M READY NOWWWWWW!!!

Doesn't that count for anything potty training experts?!?!

I have previously written about Kenzie's need to stick her hands down her pants (poopy pants) and all that disgusting stuff and how I put an end to it with onesies and rompers. Now the onesies and rompers are being used for a different reason. Kenz now knows how to remove her shorts/pants and take off her diaper.

I learned the hard way. She can't ever give me the easy route.

Long story short, my husband walked in on her in her playroom with no bottoms on. He went in to invesitgate and saw a nice pile of POO on the floor, her clean diaper pushed to the side. She had poop on her legs, arms, hands and all over her shirt. GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

I threw her in the tub and scrubbed the poop off of her. THANKFULLY my mom cleaned up the rest of the mess. BLEH!

For a while I was seriously considering changing Kenzie's pediatrician but after this weekend I think I wanna stay. This sounds completely LAME but it's me, go figure. While Russ, Kenz and I were out shopping for couches we saw Dr. Carrie. She saw me, got a huge smile on her face and waved and said HIII!!! Now, how many doctors would recognize a patient's parent? I've actually ran into her a few times and she always recognizes me, says hi and asks how we're doing. IDK, that totally did it for me. She is GREAT with Kenzie and she is so easy to talk to. Hook, Line and Sinker. DONE!

This is my baby wearing my glasses. What a goofball :)

Me and the Stinker....she looks thrilled.

OH! I almost forgot our house! I got an email saying that our new home will be completed and ready for our New Home Orientation and delivery September 10th! AHHH! I can't believe it!

This is Kenz testing out the stairs 2 weekends ago :)

emptying my head

I have a rough time falling asleep. always. I have so much running through my head and now I have my cat Charlie cuddling with me.

I have decided to start reading again. The last book I read was Coraline and before that was Breaking Dawn almost 2 years ago when it came out. I am a HUGE Bret Easton Ellis fan and have a few of his books. 3 of his books were made into movies: The Rules of Attraction, American Psycho and Less Than Zero. (all awesome movies btw) He finally came out with a sequel book to Less Than Zero called Imperial Bedrooms and it sounds AMAZING! I am set on going out and buying that book tomorrow! Another one of his books I read in high school was Glamorama. His books are dark and I love it. Sex, drugs and f'ed up lives is what his books are about mostly.

This post is quite boring. This app doesn't do pictures yet. This blog is my outlet since I don't have any friends and my family never let's me get a word in edge wise. I mean, I know I just sit around on my ass all day and eat Bon-bons but I still need some human interaction. Somebody who doesn't scream and throw tantrums every 5 minutes for some reason or another. :(

I guess I'll end it here.

thanks bloggy for always listening to me and not judging me :)

Want a good laugh?

I came across this website and got quite a few laughs and some shaking of the head. It makes me want to go to walmart right now and take some pictures :) j/k

Oh yeah. Kenzie learned how to take off her shorts and diaper and decided to poop on the floor and play with it.

Yep. She did that.

All my years as a Lifeguard at the good 'ol COH Rec centers I got to clean up my fair share of vomit and feces. Nothing prepares you to clean up your own child's shit off the ground and scrub it off their clothes, legs and hands. GROSS!

Although I must say, knowing it is my own child makes it the tiniest, I mean itty-bittiest, lil' bit easier.

Oh Kenz. Never a dull moment.
Potty training can't come soon enough! That incident just sparked my motivation :)

Terrible Two's or just a B-R-A-T?

I don't know what happened to my sweet little angel-baby who liked to laugh and coo. She traded them with screaming and tantrums.
Russ, Kenzie and I took a trip to RC Willey to check out some mattresses and couches for our new house. We put her in the stroller and walked in with the hopes of accomplishing something. I had my purse-turned-diaper bag full of goldfish, apple slices, rice biscuits and a cup of juice. We even kept her shoes off because she can't sit anywhere with her shoes on, she insists on taking them off.
We got to look at the couch we've been eying with only a small disturbance. The juice and apple slices kept her satisfied. We got over to the mattresses and started scoping them out, each taking turns lying on the bed while the other occupied little monster. We narrowed a few down and started chatting and asking questions to the super-nice salesman. (really, he was awesome.) Kenz started to fuss a bit and he mentioned him and his wife were expecting their first baby. I crazily pushed to stroller around to keep her entertained while Russ asked a few more questions, just when I thought I had it all under control she started screaming and crying, flailing herself around and refused to be held. So I let my little red-neck baby run around RC Willey shoeless. Awesome. I'm sure she scared the shit outta the salesman, he's now thinking, "what am I gonna do if my child turns out like this?!?!" There's no turning back now dude.
Kenzie likes to do anything and everything she's not supposed to. She climbs in her cozy coupe on the side with no door. She climbs on the bar stools and from there onto the kitchen island. If she gets in the bathroom she unrolls the entire roll of TP, sticks her hand or any object she is carrying into the toilet. She opens the drawers and pulls out the contents. This is just a fraction of the things she does to make me wanna rip my hair out!

We checked out our house progress yesterday and I'm getting more and more excited!

Landscaping!

Kenz checking out her new tub!

Kenz in the laundry room checking her fly, lol.

Appliances!

The floors will be the last thing installed. They have quite a few touch ups to do still.

It's time for me to get back to laundry and catch up on Big Brother!
Yay for being a Stay At Home Mom! :)

A New Chapter!

I am beginning my first week as a stay-at-home mom! I don't count the 3 months when she was born as a SAHM because it was necessary and temporary. I went back to work a lot later than expected because both Kenz and I had Pertussis(Whooping Cough.) Boo!

So far today has disappointed me. Kenzie's dad let her sleep in until 10am yesterday, therefore throwing off her whole schedule. I am working today to get it back on track and start potty training FOR REALS tomorrow! She has sat on the potty a few times already and had fun putting her hand in the toilet rather than trying to go potty.

I am also trying to recover from my horrible day yesterday. I went to bed Saturday night with a horrendous migraine, which I had already tried to treat with drugs, and got no relief finally falling asleep some time after 12am. I woke up to my alarm at 4am with the same headache. I got ready for work and headed out, the whole time I was driving I was praying I wouldn't spew all over my car. Long story short, I spent some time dry-heaving in the bathroom at work but proceeded to get out there and work my very last shift. It was tough. I was tired, nauseous and my head felt like it was going to explode. My headache eventually went away but I still felt weak and nauseous the rest of the day.

Oh. And NO, I'm not pregnant! :)

I got asked by a co-worker and my husband. Like I've said before, can't a girl be sick without EVERYONE thinking she's PREGNANT!?!?

A baby will be here in about a year....give or take a few months. We're focusing on getting moved into our new house and settling in before we add to our family :)
I can't believe how fast our house was built. It feels like only yesterday we were checking out the model homes and deciding on which one was best for us. We're still missing the landscaping in the front yard.

Our Kitchen counters were put in finally! They look so good and they still have the protective blue film on them! I can't wait for our appliances to be in to see it all tied together.
I am not too fond of the kitchen sink OR the faucet. My first change will in fact be the faucet and hopefully we will be able to get a nice granite sink some day :) But for now, it will do. ;)

This is my adorable little Paige. She has the roughest life ever ;)

I think that's it for now. I am going to try and blog more, hopefully I will have some fun potty training stories to tell in the near future!
